Give the number one clear purpose

Open Settings → Phone Numbers and inspect the number’s capabilities, readiness, direction, agent, and lead-type assignment. Inbound routing determines who answers; outbound assignment determines which caller ID a supported workflow can use.

Seller and buyer numbers should remain in their intended buckets when your organization uses both. Changing assignment can affect active campaigns, replies, and returning callers.

Verify both directions

Use company-controlled tests for voice and SMS where the number supports them. Confirm inbound routing, outbound caller ID, message replies, and reporting. If a number is ready but an action is blocked, read the campaign, compliance, wallet, or registration reason before reassigning it.
