Understanding Lead Scores & BANT

How GetsYou.ai scores leads using the BANT framework. Learn what each score means and how to use lead scores to prioritize follow-up.

How Lead Scoring Works

After every call, GetsYou analyzes the conversation and produces a structured lead score. This score helps you prioritize which leads to follow up with first and which need more nurturing.

The BANT Framework

GetsYou uses the BANT qualification framework, scoring each dimension out of 25 points for a composite score out of 100:

Budget (0-25)

Does the caller have the financial means to proceed? The AI assesses this through natural conversation — not by asking "What's your budget?" directly, but by understanding the scope of the project and the caller's expectations.

Authority (0-25)

Is the caller the decision maker? A homeowner calling about their own roof is high authority. An employee calling "to get some quotes for my boss" is lower authority.

Need (0-25)

How urgent and real is the need? A burst pipe scores higher than someone casually exploring options for a renovation "sometime next year."

Timeline (0-25)

How soon does the caller want to proceed? Immediate needs score highest. Vague future timelines score lower.

Score Interpretation

  • 75-100: Hot lead — prioritize immediate follow-up
  • 50-74: Warm lead — qualified, worth pursuing
  • 25-49: Cool lead — some interest but not fully qualified
  • 0-24: Low priority — likely not a fit or a short/unproductive call

Short-Call Protections

The scoring system includes automatic protections for short calls:

  • Calls under 5 words of conversation are capped at a score of 5
  • Calls under 15 words are capped at 15
  • Calls under 30 words are capped at 25

This prevents inflated scores from calls where someone answered but didn't engage in meaningful conversation.

Industry-Specific Thresholds

Different industries have different qualification thresholds. A plumbing lead might qualify at a score of 35, while a mortgage lead needs a 55 to be considered qualified. These thresholds are set based on industry norms and can be viewed in your dashboard.

Using Lead Scores

On the Dashboard: Your contacts list shows lead scores alongside each contact. Sort by score to see your hottest leads first.

In Campaigns: Campaign results include average lead scores, helping you assess list quality.

With CRM Integration: Lead scores sync to GoHighLevel, where they can trigger automations and workflow actions.

For Team Prioritization: Use scores to route the best leads to your closers and lower-scored leads to nurture sequences.
