How Inbound Calls Work

When someone calls your GetsYou phone number, the AI agent answers instantly — no hold time, no voicemail. The AI handles the entire conversation: greeting the caller, qualifying their needs, and booking appointments when appropriate.

Option 1: Use Your GetsYou Number Directly

The simplest approach. Share your GetsYou number on your website, Google Business listing, and marketing materials. Every call to that number is handled by your AI.

Option 2: Forward Your Existing Number

If you already have a business number you want to keep, set up call forwarding from your existing provider to your GetsYou number. This way callers dial your familiar number and the AI still answers.

How to set up forwarding:

  1. Contact your current phone provider
  2. Request unconditional call forwarding to your GetsYou number
  3. Test by calling your existing number — the AI should answer

What Happens During an Inbound Call

  1. The caller dials your number
  2. AI answers immediately with your custom greeting
  3. AI identifies the caller's needs through natural conversation
  4. For new callers: a contact record is created automatically
  5. For returning callers: the AI has context from previous interactions
  6. Qualified leads are offered appointment booking
  7. Call summary, recording, and lead score are saved to your dashboard
